Policies and Procedures (cont)

Safeguarding Children Policy
We are required under the terms of our OFSTED Registration to record and report to the necessary authorities any concerns about a child's welfare e.g. suffering from neglect or abuse e.g. where a child tells a member of staff that he/she has been hurt by someone, or there is evidence of non-accidental injury. In such cases the interests of the child always come first.

Equality and Diversity Policy
The Pre-School operates an equality and diversity policy whereby no child or adult shall be unfairly discriminated against on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, gender or special needs.  We aim to incorporate equal opportunities through our activities in Pre-School.

Special Needs (inc. Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
Some children may have special needs and we aim to promote and support the welfare and development of the child with parents and other relevant parties while they are at Pre-School. No child will be discriminated against because of his or her special needs, and confidentiality will always be maintained.
