POLICIES
& PROCEDURES (This
is only a summary of our policies. It is a condition of your child
attending the pre-school that you and/or the child’s main carer
familiarise themselves with all our policies, which are always available
to read at pre-school. Hard and soft copies are available on request). |
|
HEALTH
& SAFETY:The
Safety and Welfare of your child comes first.
We therefore ask you to always bring your child to the Hall and
collect your child by the right-hand door, which opens onto the field
away from the cars. For safety reasons the door between the Pre-School
and the kitchen must be kept closed at all times.

|
ACCIDENT
PROCEDURE
:Minor
accidents are entered in the Pre-School accident book and there is always
a member of staff, or the committee, with first aid qualifications present at each session.
The First Aid Kit is kept well stocked and is checked by staff at
regular intervals. In
the event of a serious accident we will try to contact the parents as
soon as possible and we ask that you always leave a contact number.
You will be asked to sign your consent on the admissions form to
allow your child to be taken to the nearest hospital casualty department
should the need arise.

HEALTH
POLICY :
We
aim to provide an environment, which is clean, hygienic and healthy to
ensure the best welfare for your child.
We therefore ask that any child who is obviously unwell or has an
infectious disease, doubtful rash, sickness,
diarrhoea,
sore throat, discharge from the eyes or nose, should be kept at home
until they are fully recovered or a Doctor has certified the child is
free from infection. We reserve the right to refuse admission to
children with known health problems, which may be a risk to other
children. We
also ask that you inform the Supervisor if your child has suffered from
any illness that may be contagious, including head lice, so that other
parents can be informed to look out for possible symptoms. Children
will be assisted in washing their hands after visiting the toilet and
before eating or drinking. |
